I got to the second round and the hiring manager seemed really checked out. She just read questions, asked stuff I'd already said, and didn't even look at me when I talked. She even asked what job I was applying for three times. When I asked if anything was a concern, she said no and that she'd have the recruiter call me about the next steps. She mentioned there are four stages and the next one is a mock presentation. Then, the next day, I got a rejection email. It felt like she either lied or there was a major communication issue between her and the recruiter. It was just a really weird and unprofessional experience overall. Honestly, she was so rude I wouldn't have wanted to work there anyway.

My interview experience at Hopin was first class. Unlike other companies recruiting me, they cut out all the cookie cutter stuff and treated me fairly and honestly. They were very transparent about their story and what they’re about, my potential role, what they were looking for, and ultimately timelines and next steps. I completed a 4-step interview process in just 2 weeks because correspondence was impeccable and timelines were executed. This was made possible by my recruiter, Annie Harrison, who helped guide me through the next steps and what to expect, while sending all appropriate calendar invites in a timely manner. Annie, you are a rock star, and I thoroughly enjoyed all our conversations. In conclusion, if your background is what they’re looking for and you’re excited about the opportunity, then you will be given a fair shot to compete for the position. There is a lot of opportunity for growth at Hopin and to be surrounded by great people. As long as you prepare, goals are aligned, and human connection is there, then you will have a great interview experience, too!

Had an HR screen, then a homework assignment, followed by a Sales screen, and finally a demo. The initial HR call was good and straightforward, the recruiter was personable and got me excited about the role. After that, you complete a homework assignment that takes a good chunk of time. Then you're interviewed by a sales rep in the US (didn't know their title/role and they had no prior sales/SaaS experience). This person literally read interview questions from a blog post. Not one question involved NUMBERS. The questions were more suited for an intern or entry-level employee. They were not fit to interview anyone in my opinion. Lastly, you're asked to build an entire demo and answer technical questions that only internal employees would know, and you only have 30 minutes even when the interviewers show up late. The whole criteria they rate you on is pretty absurd. The company looks good on paper, but after hearing about the internal tornado, not sure if it would have been a fit.
