Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied online and quickly got an email to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview went well, and they then set up an in-person meeting with the Area Director. That meeting was very direct; the AD clearly stated their expectations, which I appreciated since it's restaurant management. Following that, I experienced a "day in the life of a manager" at their training location. I wasn't thrilled with it, so I requested to do another "day in the life" at the actual store I applied to, which was a better fit. After that, I heard nothing back from the AD or anyone else. They didn't follow up, so I continued with other companies that were more organized and had cleaner operations.

I did a phone interview that lasted about 30 minutes. After that, they set up a 1 on 1 with an assistant regional manager. The assistant regional manager told me he was about to resign, so he thought I should meet with the regional manager instead. He sent me the same day to a store about 40 minutes away. I met with the regional manager, who liked me enough to send me to yet another store, another 40 minutes away, to meet with a training general manager who was about to be promoted to assistant regional manager when the first person I met left. Sound confusing? It was.

Behavioral Case

I was called in for an interview and met with the Director of Operations and the Regional Manager. They inquired about my prior experience and my understanding of the industry. The Director focused on presenting real-life scenarios and evaluating my thought process for handling them. Overall, it was a good experience, neither too easy nor too difficult.
