First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Honeywell Intelligrated.
Project Manager
This was a chaotic and disorganized interview process with multiple interviews for the same role. The questions were generally easy, but there was a heavy emphasis on scheduling. They preferred candidates with PMP certification and MS Project experience. I interviewed with both high-level and low-level team members.
- Can you tell me about your experience with scheduling?
- Could you describe your experience interacting with clients?
- How do you approach stress management?
Project Manager
This interview was pretty rough. The interviewer, who seemed to be a division director, was a real knuckle dragger. He didn't focus much on my actual background or experience. His main thing was asking how many people I'd fired in previous jobs, and he was really only concerned about firing underperforming subcontractors. It's wild to think about, especially now when keeping good people is so hard, that Honeywell would have a director like this. I even told the recruiters that all their prep advice was useless because the interviewer was only interested in how many people I'd fired.
- What's the total number of people you've terminated during your career?
- Can you tell me how many subcontractors you've had to let go due to poor performance?
Senior Project Manager
Had a phone screening and then an in-person interview. It was pretty standard. The phone screening was to check my competencies in material handling. The whole thing was easy and straightforward, they are looking for competent project managers.
- What is your approach to managing challenging customers?
- Describe how you'd handle a project overrun in a specific discipline.
- How would you go about finding external help if key project team members leave?
