Software Engineer
So the whole process to get in was four parts. First up, an online test on HackerRank. It had some aptitude questions, multiple choice questions on C, Data Structures, OOPS, and Operating Systems, plus like one or two coding problems. Then, there was a first technical interview where they drilled down on the basics like Data Structures, OOPS, DBMS, OS, and Networks, and also threw in some simple coding questions. The second technical interview was all about my projects, both academic and personal. They wanted to know how I approached design, what tech I used, and generally how I solve problems. Lastly, there was an HR or Managerial chat. This was to check how well I communicate, if I'd fit in with the culture, what my career plans are, and if I know anything about what Honeywell does. They also talked about salary and if I'd need to relocate.
- Can you tell me about your aptitude?
- What do you know about C, DS, OOPS, and OS?
- Can you solve these coding questions?
Account Manager
Applied online and got the recruiter call. The recruiter was very clear about the role, who I would report to, and what the next steps were. Then there was an online assessment, followed by hiring manager and panel interviews. But after the assessment, things went downhill. The assessment itself was easy. I got an email to schedule the HM interview. I scheduled it three times, but each time it was canceled – they kept saying 'sorry something has come up. Please reschedule.' So I decided to stop pursuing it. I reached out to the recruiter to confirm if this was a legitimate process or a system glitch. I never heard back.

Human Resources Generalist
The recruitment team was really friendly and easy to talk with, most people there are nice and I had a positive experience. Though, there are two individuals in HR who were rude and unprofessional this year. I was asked to apply for a role, and then asked to interview with the hiring manager. I even confirmed if it was accurate. They confirmed and scheduled the meeting shortly after. Then, the hiring manager did not show up for the interview. I showed up and waited and looked for a cancellation or postponement notice. There was nothing. I reached out to their scheduling team and I asked if there was an issue with the interview schedule. They informed me that the hiring manager decided not to speak with me. When I reached out, asking the recruiter why the hiring manager would have agreed to talk with me and then changed their mind, so soon after, why I wasn't at least informed of the cancellation. The recruiter never responded. I couldn't believe they didn't have the courtesy to respond with something evan as small as a vague answer or acknowledgement. A cancellation ahead of time or even a response after would have been fine. Instead the hiring manager and recruiter chose to be incredibly rude and unprofessional.
- Can you tell me about your experience with change management and the size of the employee population you supported?
Project Manager
This interview was pretty rough. The interviewer, who seemed to be a division director, was a real knuckle dragger. He didn't focus much on my actual background or experience. His main thing was asking how many people I'd fired in previous jobs, and he was really only concerned about firing underperforming subcontractors. It's wild to think about, especially now when keeping good people is so hard, that Honeywell would have a director like this. I even told the recruiters that all their prep advice was useless because the interviewer was only interested in how many people I'd fired.
- What's the total number of people you've terminated during your career?
- Can you tell me how many subcontractors you've had to let go due to poor performance?
