First, HR called me and asked some basic questions. Then, I got an invite for an in-person interview. This round included a Python coding test and a behavioral discussion with the manager. I found the HR to be quite rude, and they didn't really explain the process well. The hiring manager also didn't seem very engaged during our conversation.

I had a virtual interview with two engineers from the department. They asked standard behavioral questions and wanted answers using the STAR format. They explained this expectation clearly in an email beforehand, including links with advice on STAR.

Technical Behavioral Group
Normal procedure. They'll shortlist you based on your CV. If you have projects related to automobiles, you're likely to get shortlisted. There are 2 interviews: one technical and one behavioral. There will be a group interviewing. Mostly, if you're applying for a position in Japan, the interview would be in Japanese. But they will have translators in the room. So no need to learn Japanese before applying. However, learning the language after you accept the offer is a must.
