I had two interviews with two different departments. Both were 1-on-1 video calls scheduled for 30 minutes, but they both went over by 10-15 minutes. It was pretty chill. They asked about my experiences and why I'm a good fit. I talked about CVTs in cars and hiking in the Smokey mountains, so it wasn't just Q&A; I got to express my personality. My background in tool and die resonated with one interviewer, which I think helped me get an offer. I got offers for co-op positions in both departments after the first round of interviews.

The process was professional and mature. They asked relevant questions and the recruiters were sensitive and empathetic. The HR person was very professional, allowing the candidate to express themselves without interruptions and actively listening. They were responsible and quick to explain the next steps and provide feedback soon after the interview. This showed the company's responsibility towards candidates, and it's always good to get a response in a timely manner.

Technical Presentation Other

A consulting firm handled the tests (English and logic) and dynamics, which was chaotic because even the four managers overseeing it weren't sure about the work involved. For the presentations, the consultant gave us instructions: 'sell your product' in an elevator pitch, talk about yourself, and give a presentation in English, all in 2 minutes. The required English level wasn't mentioned, and when I told the consultant I wasn't comfortable presenting in English and that the job description didn't specify a level, she stammered and agreed it wasn't listed but would be evaluated. So, be prepared!
