It was a simple and straightforward process, with logical and practical questions. The people interviewing were good. It involved a standard screening process followed by an onsite interview where I met with multiple people simultaneously. The whole thing didn't take too long.

I've interviewed with Honda twice. The first time, a recruiter guided me through the entire process. I passed the phone interview and met all the entry-level job requirements, even going on-site with expenses paid. The interview was very basic, with only STAR questions. I thought I'd get the job, but two weeks later, my recruiter emailed saying I interviewed well but another candidate was 'technically' stronger, which was odd since the only technical requirement was MS Office, specifically Excel. I wasn't deemed strong enough for a 'powerpoint/excel engineering position.' I tried again, and Honda called expressing interest for another interview. After 3.5 weeks with no follow-up, I'm reflecting on how they treat 'talent.' This might reflect the company's overall image: focused on profit with decreasing innovation, old-school concepts, and uninspiring in today's market. Honda isn't what I expected and not what it once stood for. Ultimately, these negative experiences were for the best, as making powerpoints and Excel spreadsheets didn't seem like a promising career path anyway.

Although it took some time initially, the communication was good and everyone I talked to was friendly. They were really flexible with my schedule and even updated me on the plant's status the day before due to bad weather. They even gave me a bottle of water, which was a nice touch. The interview itself had five people, which felt like too many and was a bit intimidating. It took about a month to hear back, which was longer than the two weeks I was told to expect.
