It was just one round of interview, and they didn't ask anything technical. They mainly wanted to gauge my interest in joining HMSI and understand my awareness of the company's operations. Since this was campus hiring and my institute was reputable, they seemed confident about the technical capabilities of the candidates.

I was recruited from Naukri for an Executive role in Gurgaon by HMSI (Honda Motorcycle & 2 wheelers India). The HR called me and we discussed my past job role. 2 days later, I had an interview with the Manager which included a psychometric test and a web-based test. After 14 days, I interviewed with another manager. After 28 days, I had an interview with the operations head, a higher level position. Then, after a month, the HR asked for all my documents (education, experience). Finally, after 1 month and 3 days, I had my 5th round interview with the top director of HMSI. After 47 days from the first phone call, I was given the offer letter. Salary was as discussed in the first call.

First, there was a quick HR interview over the phone, mostly just asking personal info. Then, I interviewed with the whole department, including an Assistant Manager, Department Manager, Senior Manager, and Division Head. This part lasted about 45-50 minutes and covered both personal questions and technical stuff, like random questions about cost calculation and project management. After that, I spoke with the Operating Head for about 25-30 minutes. They asked general personal questions and about my previous work style. The whole thing took about a month, and I got an offer letter after.

The entire process had 3 parts after a short company PPT. First, a pen and paper multiple choice TEST with two sections: aptitude (20 questions) and technical (30 questions). The technical part was mostly theory covering all topics and lasted 60 mins. Second, a GD where groups of 5 discussed the topic "Is India Really Ready for being a Superpower" for 10 minutes. The advice is to initiate or end the discussion and show leadership. Third, a mixed HR and Technical INTERVIEW. HR asked generic questions about interests, while technical questions focused on past projects and generic engine concepts like the difference between two-stroke and four-stroke engines.
