First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Honda Aircraft Company.
Intern
The hiring process was really straightforward and mostly consisted of basic behavioral questions from HR and the team. The only technical questions they asked were related to my resume or projects. The whole process took about a month, and HR was very responsive.
- Can you describe some challenges you faced with your project?
Production Planner
I found this Production Planning job on Indeed and applied. I got a 30 minute HR screening call the next day because they needed to hire someone right away. It felt like a perfect fit, my resume was a great match for their specific manufacturing and repair place in Burlington. After that, I had another chat with HR, and then a panel interview with three people. The team discussed terms and a potential start date with me, but then they just went silent and never responded to my emails.
- Can you share an example of using the Honda STAR method?
- What was your experience like working in a niche manufacturing and repair facility?
- How do you feel about our Burlington-based manufacturing and repair facility?
Avionics Technician
The interview process starts off really well, with a friendly vibe and some info about Honda Aircraft's history. There are usually 3-4 employees and an HR person. But after the interviews, they tend to leave you hanging and don't follow up. If you don't get the job, they just say they picked someone else without any feedback, which is pretty discouraging.
- What draws you to work at Honda Aircraft?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Technical Publications Supervisor
I was first contacted by a recruiter. Then I had about an hour-long phone panel interview with some really nice people; HACI took care of all my travel plans. About a week later, I went in for an on-site interview. Justin (Recruiting Specialist) and James (Sr. Manager) really worked hard to speed things up for me because I was short on time. The whole interview team was super polite, and I thought it went really well. Even though they ended up hiring someone internally, I was really impressed by how much effort HACI put in throughout the whole process. Huge thanks to everyone for a good experience.
- Tell me about yourself and your experience.
- Describe a challenging situation you faced in technical publications.
- How do you ensure technical documents are accurate and high-quality?
