First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HomeX.
Software Developer
I applied to HomeX via Indeed and heard back a week later about a screening interview. It went well and the recruiter was nice. The next interview was with a team lead, who asked more behavioural questions. I didn't hear anything for two weeks, so I reached out on LinkedIn. They got back to me and scheduled a tech interview. However, nobody showed up for the scheduled virtual interview, and I waited around for a while. The next day, I finally got a response asking where my interviewer was. We rescheduled the tech interview, but I didn't make it through. The communication throughout the process was really bad and needs improvement, so I wouldn't recommend this company.
- Can you tell me about your past work experiences?
Software Engineer
They tested my understanding of basic coding concepts like OOP, HTTP vs SSL requests, and some memory management stuff. I also had to solve 2 LeetCode medium questions. The interviewer was really supportive and understanding the whole time.
- Were basic coding fundamentals tested?
- Were OOP concepts covered?
- Were HTTP vs SSL requests discussed?
Software Engineer
The process involved several coding assessments and some non-technical interviews. It was a thorough process overall, allowing me to meet people and learn more about the company. The final stage lasted approximately half a day. This info might be outdated.
- Could you describe a heuristic algorithm to solve the travelling salesmen problem given a matrix of locations?
