Software Engineer
Standard 3 round hiring process. First have conversation with the recruiter and then a technical video screening round where the developer asked a coding question to solve. It went well and then the on-site interview round. Had a conversation with 5 people including the hiring manager. They basically tested me on some design, cicd and aws questions. Everything was going fine till I had a conversation with the hiring manager who seemed to have no clue as to which role I was interviewing for. Mind you I was the only candidate they were interviewing that day. He asked me a design question and while I was explaining he seemed uninterested and yawning. I then realized that basically I wasted half my day coming here. I still haven’t heard back from the recruiter regarding the decision. I mean you spend half a day interviewing and the least you expect as a candidate is a courtesy generic email saying you are considering other candidates. I can only imagine how working at this company would be like. Dodged a bullet
- Tell me about basic oops concepts.
- Can you explain some design principles?
- What do you know about CI/CD pipelines?
Software Developer
So the interview process was pretty standard, with questions mostly centered around .Net knowledge. I had two phone interviews initially where they went through my resume and asked some basic questions on SQL and .Net fundamentals. Following that, I had a Skype interview with some developers where they asked similar questions to the phone screens.
- Can you tell me about your experience with .Net?
- Could you walk me through your resume?
- Do you have experience with SQL?
Software Engineer
The interviewer was playing a game on her phone the whole time. She'd ask a question and then go back to her game. After she was done, she said someone else would come in. I waited alone for 20 mins. Then HR came and asked if anyone else had seen me. I said no. 10 mins later, a young man came in yelling at me saying someone was there to see me and why did I say no. He left. 10 mins later, another young man came in and was professional, asking technical questions like bubble sort. I asked if they used it in development and he said no, he just learned it in school.
- Can you tell me about bubble sort?
- Do you use bubble sort in the applications that you develop?
