I got a call from Lauren Randall and she was really nice. She set up an interview for me at Homeside and I met with the Branch Manager. It was a really good interview, I felt challenged but not pressured. Then I had another interview with a regional manager, which was similar. There were 2 interviews in total. Both were good experiences, I learned stuff and felt comfortable right away. They want to know why you want to work for Homeside and if you'd be a good fit for their company. I think Homeside likes to keep their culture diverse, upbeat, and positive.

I applied online through my University career center. About two weeks after applying, I got an email to schedule an over-the-phone interview. After that call, I went in for a face-to-face meeting with the branch manager. Once that was done, I had to set up another over-the-phone interview with someone from the headquarters in Columbus, OH. Lastly, I had a final face-to-face meeting where we mostly talked about the offer and got more details about the job.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I was initially contacted by a Homeside recruiter, which piqued my interest. The first interview was a brief 10-minute phone call with a Business Manager, pretty standard for a phone interview. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview with the VP of Sales. I was really impressed with this interview and the office environment – it was professional and clean. The interview itself was challenging in a good way, covering typical sales experience questions as well as tougher ones. They also inquired a lot about my college extracurriculars and activities outside of academics and work. It felt like they were trying to get a complete picture of me, suggesting they're selective about hiring, unlike some places I've worked. The third interview was a 10-minute face-to-face with the Executive VP, where he mainly discussed what's needed for success, job expectations, and compensation details. He was also very professional.

I first talked with Mark Greaves and Chad Beldon. It was a pretty chill conversation, mostly about making sure I'd be a good fit for the company's vibe. They asked about my integrity and what Homeside is all about. Then, Dan Snyder, Mark Greaves, and Chad Beldon interviewed me. This time, it was more about my goals and how I planned to reach them. Both times felt more like a chat to make sure we were all on the same page about what we wanted to accomplish, rather than a formal interview.
