Customer Service Representative
Applied and got a call back in about a week and a half. The interview was face to face. They asked normal interview questions. I interviewed with the supervisor of the department and was offered the job at the end.
- Can you tell me why you think we should hire you?
- What motivated you to apply for this position at HomeServe?
- Do you have any existing connections with employees here?
Customer Service Representative
I applied online and then received a call from the main office in Florida. They scheduled me for an interview three weeks later. The interview took place at a hotel in Chattanooga. I didn't hear back for a month, but then I got a job offer. They mentioned they decided to hire more people, but I suspect it was because some initial hires didn't show up. I didn't get the official call until training had already started. I had to rush to get a drug test that same day and started classes two days after they began.
- Could you role-play selling insurance?
Customer Service Representative
It was a mass interview process that was quick and efficient at a local hotel. After checking in, I answered a questionnaire, met some staff, had a pre-interview, and took an assessment. Then there was a second interview. Some people got on-the-spot job offers, while others got callbacks. The staff at the HomeServe job fair were friendly, helpful, and knew a lot about the company. It was a 'big' process because a lot was done in one afternoon, but I didn't feel rushed. They paid good attention to detail, especially since the job fair was offsite.
