First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HomeGoods.
Store Associate
The interview at HomeGoods was pretty simple. I talked to the store manager, we went over my past work history and when I could work, and they told me what the job involved. I got the job the next day.
- Can you describe your experience in retail?
- What's your background in customer service?
Retail Associate
I was taken to the back room and asked some questions about my schooling, if I could work well with others, and my ability to adapt. While I was answering questions about what teamwork and efficiency mean, the interviewer was looking at papers or their computer, which felt rude and unprofessional.
- What is your definition of teamwork?
- What does efficiency mean to you?
- Tell me about your education.
Store Associate
It was a pretty chill interview process, honestly. Everyone was really nice and they didn't ask much during the hiring. I chatted with the store manager and they offered me the job on the spot. I didn't take it though, 'cause the schedule they had wasn't working for me at the time.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
- What makes you want to work at this store?
- Do you have previous retail experience?
