Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HomeGoods.
Coordinator
The interview process wasn't great. It included a phone interview and an in-person meeting. They didn't discuss benefits, and I never got a callback. It felt like they were just hiring anyone. I won't interview with tJX again.
- What do you think a coordinator does?
Coordinator
You start with a paper application, but it might get lost if you don't specifically ask for a manager to handle it. If they call you in, they'll meet with you one-on-one to discuss your experience. They'll ask you to rate yourself as a worker and what you think you can bring to the company. At the end, they'll let you know if you got the job and when to start, or they'll say they'll call you if you didn't get it. The interview wasn't stressful, it was pretty mellow so they could get a feel for your personality.
- None really
Coordinator
The interview was great because the store manager at the time was caring and hard-working. She made everyone feel included and cared for, which motivated everyone to work hard and enjoy coming to work, even though meeting corporate demands was very challenging.
- What value do you bring to the team?
