Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Homefix.
Sales
They started with some basic questions about my job history. Then they described the pay structure and how it works. My main concern with the pay was that it seemed to show a lack of trust in employees, as if they were helping you when they were actually just holding back earnings. I believe saving should be the employee's responsibility. If they can't hire responsible reps, then that's a problem in itself. We talked about the hours, which are 9 AM to 7 PM Monday to Friday, and 9 AM to 2 PM on Saturdays. They mentioned a great work-life balance, which I found humorous given those hours.
- Could you tell us about yourself and your previous work experience?
Sales Representative
It was pretty straightforward. They really wanted to know if I was motivated by money. They kept stressing that the bottom line was the most important thing, even more than customer experience. The main thing they cared about was closing the sale.
- What gets you motivated?
- How do you approach leading people?
Sales
It was a very warming interview that gave me a feeling of "are you ready for your life to change?" and it 100% did. They asked how much money I was looking for and how much time I needed. All my expectations were met within the first seven months of employment.
- What are your salary expectations?
