So I went through this 9-week interview thing for an R&D Program Manager at Hologic. It wasn't the best experience, honestly. It started with a 30-min call with HR, then two 30-min video chats with the hiring manager. After that, there was a 3-hour onsite where I had to do a presentation thing. To wrap it up, I had two more 30-min interviews with HR and the director. I'm hoping this feedback helps them make their hiring better. The people I talked to were cool, professional, and really upfront about the job's challenges. They have some really interesting problems to tackle and I liked that they were open about needing improvement. Their cross-functional skills were also pretty awesome. But, communication was all over the place – I got mixed signals about the role and interview stuff, which was confusing. And the way they told me I didn't get the job, after 9 weeks, was a delayed email. I tried to get feedback, but got nothing back. A quick call would've been way more respectful after all that time. Hopefully, they can get their hiring team on the same page for a smoother, more respectful process next time.

The HR, recruiters, and interview panel were really nice and upfront about the skills they needed. Everything moved quickly from the first interviews to talking about the offer and then getting the final paperwork done.

this hiring process was the worst ive ever experienced, applied in may and went through 4 months of interviews, with 2 extra rounds added after what was supposed to be the final round. got an offer but it was rescinded 3 weeks later because HR said the team questioned my transparency and proactive communication. apparently, seeking approval proactively for remote work abroad for medical reasons was seen as a negative. ironically, i was upfront about it, and the hiring team never once told me their concerns before or after rescinding the offer. the lack of communication and professionalism, and their own lack of transparency and proactive communication, was super disappointing.
