I had an excellent 40-minute phone call with a recruiter after connecting on LinkedIn. They asked why I was interested in Hologics, stressing the need to show passion and research. We spent about 20 minutes discussing my career experience, the role, and the company. Then, we talked about next steps and a trial close. Immediately after, I had to complete a 35-minute recruitment assessment (Socrates version). It was all behavioral, aiming to uncover bias. It had Likert scale, multiple choice, and yes/no questions, with some asked in reverse to check how well I understood and responded consistently. The next step was supposed to be a remote session with the leadership team, with details available on their careers page. However, the assessment results disqualified me from further recruitment conversations, even though I met over 30 other qualifications. I find it absurd that such a test, with no basis in assessing cognitive abilities or job fit, determines a candidate's progression. Assessments should either highlight strengths/weaknesses for development or genuinely measure intelligence and decision-making.

The interviews were very friendly, first with Talent Management, then with the CEO, who was very well prepared and had familiarized himself with my profile, which I found very pleasant.

The recruiter for the key account manager position started the interview. While diversity and inclusion are popular, Hologic seems to have a systematic discrimination process based on vaccination status. The interview ended right after the recruiter asked about COVID-19 vaccination and stated it as a mandatory company requirement. This is illegal in Switzerland as vaccination isn't mandatory and vaccination certificates no longer exist. It's personal medical information, and asking about it breaks the law, similar to asking about religion or sexual orientation. It's disappointing that companies still operate outside the law.
