after sending in my resume, I waited 3 months to get a call. Then there was some back and forth via email before setting up a phone interview. After waiting another month, I thought I'd given up, but then I got a call to fly out for a face-to-face interview. Not much warning for that! A week later, another week passed, and then I got an email congratulating me and offering a 2-week sales training 1500 miles away, with only a week to decide. I went, and it was 14-hour days for two weeks. Then, congrats, the community is yours! But you only have 1.5 weeks to relocate. Your apartment as co-manager is about 700 sq ft. Everything's paid for, including meals. It's tough to live in such a small space with one kid, and even harder with more!

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Essentially, no truly difficult questions were asked; they actively tried to dissuade me from taking the job. This is a decent technique if the interviewer is thorough in their descriptions, which both ours and the RD were.

Behavioral Other

The whole interview process seemed to be conducted by someone with "issues"...either they hated ther job or were drunk. We were called for a phone interview and they apparently forgot about it so we were then told to drive to a larger city nearby to meet with the RD. That went well and we were hired and told to drive to a city 1200 miles away for training. We were told we would be compensated for all expenses, within reason, of the training and the future moving our stuff to our future property. When all was said and done and we got to ur new property we were told that they compensate us only $1000.00. So we had to eat around $1700.00 right off the bat.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Would you be able to travel 1200 miles in your car for training, return, and then move your belongings to your new home, despite there being four properties closer than 100 miles?

Applied online and got an email from a recruiter in 2 days. She set up a phone interview for me and my partner. She talked about the company and role. Asked a few questions about our past jobs. Then we had a 1-on-1 with the regional recruiter 3 days later in another city. It was at one of the communities and it was nice, residents seemed happy. The regional recruiter was professional and asked about our work history, skills, and if we could work together all the time. After that, we met with the Senior Manager of the community to learn more about the company and job. It sounds like a good job with good pay and benefits. The recruiter said the RD would call in 2 days. We waited 2 days and heard nothing, so we called the recruiter. The RD was out that week but we were promised a call the next week. Still waiting...
