Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hobby Lobby.
Sales Associate
The interview is pretty straightforward. They'll look over your application and ask about your past work experiences and what brought you to Hobby Lobby. If you pass the interview, there's a basic math test.
- What prompted you to depart from your previous employer?
- What was your motivation for choosing to work at Hobby Lobby?
- Can you describe your experiences working for your previous employer?
Retail Sales Associate
It was a pretty basic interview process. They asked questions about my experience, skills, and pay expectations. Then, I had to complete a math test that focused on basic math concepts. There are examples of the math test available on YouTube.
- Tell me about your previous work experience.
- What skills do you possess?
- What are your salary expectations?
Sales Associate
The most unprofessional interview I have ever had! The hiring manager made me wait over a half hour. Don't schedule an interview at the time scheduled if you cannot be on time! She made eye contact with me once during the entire interview. She also answered her text messages and responded to her walkie during the interview. I'm not even sure how she is a manager; extremely unprofessional!
- Can you work Saturdays and evenings?
