It was a 6 interview process plus a project, total of 7 weeks. Everyone was professional. They laid out the 6 interview process at the start, though the whole thing took longer than I expected.

Had a first-round interview that went well. Then they asked me to do an assignment analyzing mock data and giving insights and recommendations to the HR recruiters and product team, with a deadline. After submitting, I was told I would present it to the internal team. The next round was with 2 senior leadership members. They were late and told me I wouldn't be presenting, which surprised me. The last round involved standard questions. Finally, I was told I wasn't chosen. While I don't mind not getting the job, I do mind wasting time on an assignment and practicing a presentation that wasn't acknowledged or looked at. Moving forward, if a company asks me to evaluate something and present improvements, I'll decline, as I realized I became a free consultant instead of a candidate.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

So I interviewed for this HR Tech company and honestly their whole candidate experience was pretty rough. First off, my initial interview wasn't with HR, but a Senior CSM. Then, HR sent an automated email for scheduling the second round after I finished a task (which involved a sample email and some data analysis). The second interview was with a VP in CS, and they were great. After that, I had to chase HR twice because none of the emails had contact info, so I had to reply to their automated ones, and they didn't respond. Eventually, a VP emailed me to set up a third round with another VP or senior CS person. We had that third round, and they got back to me in four business days (which was fast compared to others taking weeks) to say I didn't get the job. To be clear, the actual interviews with the people were fine, they were all professional and nice. But honestly, I wouldn't recommend working for an HR Tech company with a hiring process that would have taken two more interviews (making it 5 interviews and a task total) over two months just to get an offer. Seriously, they need to get with the times, especially for an HR tech company, and make their hiring process more efficient and respectful.
