I had a 15 minute call with HR and then a 45 minute interview with a director. I'm waiting to hear back about a super day. It was a pretty standard interview overall.

The hiring process was kind of slow. First, there was an initial interview that was more technical than I was expecting, given I don't have a real estate background. After that, I had to complete a take-home exercise, and I only had 3 hours to do it. It involved an investment case where I had to decide whether or not to invest, using financial modeling and other factors. The people interviewing me were nice, though I felt they had a bit of an "old school" vibe. They were very polite when they rejected me and gave me good feedback.

The interview process had 3 stages, I think. There were some technical questions, but nothing too difficult if you've taken university courses and paid attention in real estate finance classes. The recruiters were very polite and professional. I declined the offer because I wasn't interested in Milan anymore, but it seemed like a good company.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Investment modeling (purchasing a property and related amortization).
  • Questions about cash on cash and metrics for evaluating returns.
  • Question on how to calculate NOI.
