An Acquisition Specialist reached out to me to set up a 1-hour Zoom call with the senior controller and controller for the investment management group. From the start, I felt the interviewers were really humble and professional. They mainly asked about my current job and what I do, without digging into my past work history. The interview was pretty relaxed, and we even went over the time limit. The hiring manager made sure to ask about my hobbies outside of work. I got good feedback pretty quickly after the weekend following my Friday interview. I got an offer the week after the interview. They were very generous with the salary and benefits, I couldn't be happier making the move to Hines!

I interviewed for the Staff Accountant job in NYC with Vida Barco. They had me do 3 video interviews, which I thought were pretty easy because I already had property management experience and knew the industry terms. However, this company really wasted my time. They said they'd update me within a week after my last interview, but it's been 3 weeks and I still haven't heard back. I can't recommend this company because they don't seem to value candidates.

I heard nothing but amazing things about working for Hines from friends and family. My two interviews for the Staff Accountant position were very laid back, easy, and friendly. I was genuinely looking forward to the job, coworkers, and managers. I had a family tragedy come up between the first and second interviews, which put a lot of uncertainty in my life. I feel like I was extremely transparent with the recruiter of my situation, and I would absolutely keep him up to date. However, he suddenly became very direct, asking me if this position is what I really wanted, he needs to know that, or I need to make other decisions because he has other candidates on the list. If this is how Hines handles personal issues, this company is not for me. Not what I would consider a "Hines" experience by any means. In the end, I was relieved I was not offered the position.
