You apply online via HPCL’s career portal. We usually shortlist people based on their GATE score, marks in their qualifying exams, or based on the eligibility criteria we mention in the notification. Usually, you need a B.E./B.Tech in a relevant branch with a certain minimum marks.

You apply online through the HPCL portal. HPCL will then shortlist candidates for interviews based on a merit list, which is usually based on your academic performance. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you'll be called for an interview. This interview is really important for the selection process. Interviews are usually around January and February. The interview score, along with your academic results, will be used to create the all-India merit list.

I applied through the NATS portal and was asked to upload some documents. A few days later, I got an email to download the call letter from the NATS Portal for the GAT interview at HPCL Visakhapatnam. My CGPA is 8.47/10. The interview was conducted by a group of three panel members.
