So after a pre-placement talk, they shortlisted resumes, and then after an online assessment, they shortlisted candidates for the interview. The interview had a Technical and an HR round, and there were two people on the panel.

It was a telephonic interview where I was first asked for an introduction, education qualifications, and graduation year. They also asked about my English proficiency and skills in AutoCAD. Unfortunately, there were no jobs available, and references were required for the interview to proceed. As that requirement was not met, the interview had to be cut short.

They were really looking for students who were involved in extracurricular activities, had a good grasp of metallurgy basics, and could easily talk to the workers on the shop floor.
