So after a pre-placement talk, they shortlisted resumes, and then after an online assessment, they shortlisted candidates for the interview. The interview had a Technical and an HR round, and there were two people on the panel.

The hiring process had 3 interview rounds. The interviews were mostly about my past experience and if I was a good fit for the job. They also asked technical questions about thermodynamics, power plant engineering, and electrical engineering.

The interview process included an aptitude test conducted by AMCAT, which was easy, but only 7 out of 26 metallurgy students were selected. This was followed by a Group Discussion (GD) on a current topic and a Personal Interview (PI). The PI started with technical questions about Aluminum (Al), Copper (Cu), extrusion, and rolling, and then moved to an HR round.

The interview process was good. Both HR and Technical people asked basic but tough questions. First, there was an online test by AMCAT with mostly apti and verbal reasoning questions, fewer technical ones. Then, a group discussion which was normal. After students were eliminated in each round, the final selected students were called for the interview.
