It was very structured, but also conversational. It was a string of 8 different interviews and shows how serious Hilton is about bringing in external hires, particularly in protecting their culture. Half the interviews were about technical competence and the other in being able to assimilate; it goes both ways. The recruiting team did an amazing job at making it a streamlined process, but also accommodating my schedule.

Behavioral Other

I was contacted by an internal recruiter on LinkedIn and we set up an initial phone call. Then, a different recruiter who was actively sourcing for this specific job contacted me, and we had a video chat on MS Teams. This recruiter seemed to have a background in hotel reception, as their questions and the conversation felt very scripted. I felt the salary offered for the responsibilities was low, and it seemed like they prioritized saving money over bringing in valuable talent. I did mention I'd accept a salary at the higher end of their advertised range. About two weeks later, I received a standard rejection email. Looking back, I'm pretty sure they rejected me because they wanted someone cheaper.

Behavioral Presentation

It was a standard process. Started with an executive recruiter HR screen, then I spoke with the hiring manager, then their leader, and finally some peer panels. All the questions and the time spent on each were pretty standard. The whole thing went pretty well, but I ultimately didn't accept because they couldn't meet my compensation requirements and they wanted me to relocate.
