The initial phone interview was mostly behavioral. They asked situational questions like 'what would you do if a colleague did X?' and generally, if your response didn't involve causing trouble, you were good. The in-person interview involved me and two interviewers. They inquired about my communication abilities and asked me to define engineering terms, such as 'What is a moment force?'. They seem to value experience with major event planning. A key question was about relocating to their Iowa or other Midwest HQ for a year or two of training. I think this is where I faltered; I said I was willing to move, but I probably didn't sell it well, as I was only looking for a summer internship and had no interest in living in the Midwest long-term. They mentioned contacting candidates within two weeks, but it actually took them about a month. If you don't get the job, they'll notify you via email.

The hiring process had multiple interviews, including some with the recruiter and some with my direct manager. It was great to get some time to directly talk to the manager and learn about the work I would be doing and what was expected of me. Also easier to have questions answered.
