I went through three interviews. First was a quick call with the recruiter, then a 30-minute chat with a peer, and finally a 30-minute one with the hiring manager. The peer and hiring manager interviews were pretty standard, asking about past project experiences and behavioral stuff. The hiring manager seemed pretty checked out though, constantly texting and getting notifications, which was a bummer. I heard back the next day and didn't make it further.

It was a 5 step process. First, a phone interview with the Hiring Manager. Then, an interview with their Manager. After that, an interview with another Hiring Manager at the same level but for a different territory. Then, I was offered the position by the Initial Hiring Manager, which included another mini Interview. Finally, there was a mini Interview with corporate HR in Cary, NC, followed by an official position offer call or email letter.

This was not a good experience. I had 3 calls. The first was with HR, it was very high level and to coordinate schedules. The second was with a Director, who was very easy going and professional, asking mostly resume, behavioral, and profile questions to move me to the next stages. The third one was with some other department stakeholders, and it was probably one of the most unprofessional interviews I've ever had. The interviewers arrived late to a 30-minute call, leaving less than 25 minutes for conversation with 3 people over the phone. They seemed predisposed and were just going through the motions, not looking to find someone to help them or the company. They didn't introduce themselves or mention their roles, jumping straight into questions like 'tell me a time when you did this or that,' creating a tense environment from the start. The questions were one-sided and rigid, with no context, and when I tried to make it a conversation, they just asked the next question. They also interrupted my answers rudely. When I finally got to ask questions, they were dismissive, saying things like 'I thought you should know that' or 'Ok, thank you...' trying to end the call quickly. I understand everyone is busy, but next time, please reschedule and be professional with all candidates, even if you have someone else in mind. Overall, a very unprofessional interview; they really need some HR and Interview techniques training at that level. They will miss good talent if they keep this style at these department levels.
