I was called for an interview for a position I did not apply for. The position seemed interesting, but the meeting was strange. The person had a filter on their camera. Later, even after informing them I did not want to continue with the process, they kept filling my inbox with spam. It also seems a bit strange to me that there is no one from LATAM working in the company, but they constantly post vacancies for Colombia and Honduras. It seems more like an attempt to search for talent at a low cost and high exploitation.

Technical

The person interviewing me seemed unsure about the role's responsibilities when I asked for clarification, which was unusual. The main issue was the technical assessment. The provided login credentials for the assessment didn't work because the account had already been used and wasn't reset for the next candidate. There were other problems during the assessment, and I only got help from the recruiter at the very last minute.

Behavioral Other

It's unfortunate that many interviews now require candidates to be recorded, which just increases their existing anxiety. I think companies are using AI to analyze interviews, driving this trend. While new tech is fine, it makes the application process more awkward and unbalanced. The interview power dynamic should be more equal, not favoring the companies. Also, interviewers are focusing more on day-to-day work questions instead of empathetic, human-centered ones. This seems like a way to get more info from candidates without considering how it affects them. I wouldn't recommend this experience; it feels transactional, not genuine.
