I was well qualified for several of their positions. I suspected that they were not interviewing me because I was Black. I had to trick them to get an interview. I tricked them by saying that my ethnicity was multi-race. (almost every American is Multi Racial). In the interview, there was was no question that I could not answer and showed a great deal of knowledge about their process. It was clear, after they saw that I was Black, there was nothing I could say that would convince them that I would be value added to their company. They acted as if I was going to be called by HR for on boarding and within a week I got an email that I was not chosen.

It was an online, pre-recorded interview with standard questions. You'll need a webcam and mic, and Google Chrome is preferred. It wasn't very mobile friendly, so ensure your computer is working. If you mess up, you can refresh the page to start over or you're given at least 1 redo on every question.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I got there a little early to find parking and find the building to check in. The hiring manager picked me up and took me to the engineering offices. We chatted about hobbies and school. Then we sat at his desk and talked about my resume and the project they were working on. We talked about the job duties and how they'd get me up to speed. Then there was time for me to ask questions. I had a bunch of questions, which I think helped me stand out. It wasn't too stressful overall.
