I applied online and then got a phone interview. I ended up having 7 interviews in total with different hiring managers. I don't think they hire people from out of state. The job posting said Engineer 1 requires an engineering degree and 0 experience, which seems wrong. HR was supposed to reply within two weeks but only got back to me after 3 months with a rejection. HII-NNS was a top choice for me, but I feel like I wasted my time focusing on them.

So I applied for two positions, Engineer II and Engineer Design II. The first round was a phone call for both, lasted about 45 mins with 3 people. They explained the job and company, and asked about my experience with certain software and tasks. A month later, I got an offer elsewhere and asked HII HR for an update. They scheduled a second phone chat with one of the initial interviewers, who had apparently forgotten we already talked. So, this second call was kind of pointless because she just went over the same stuff again. I got an offer later that day, but I turned it down.
