Customer Success Engineer
I started with a Zoom call with the Hiring Manager for an initial screen, where we talked generally about my background and the role. Then, I had to complete a take-home assessment using the Hightouch product itself, which was a good way to try it out. After that, I met with another CSE Manager to go over my assessment and discuss my approach, and they asked some follow-up technical questions. A current CSE on the team then interviewed me, focusing on behavioral questions like 'Tell me about a time when...'. The hiring manager also checked in with me between rounds to see how I was doing. The final part was a meeting with the VP about cultural fit. All the interviewers left plenty of time for my questions, and their answers were consistent, making me feel confident about the leadership and team.

- What motivates you to pursue this particular role at this specific time?
Field Marketing Manager
So, I had an interview scheduled with the hiring manager. I talked to the recruiter and managed to change and confirm the date about two days before the interview. After that, there was no contact. On the interview day, I realized the meeting link wasn't working, so I emailed both the hiring manager and the recruiter. The recruiter then told me the role was already filled. The hiring manager apologized, saying she had to cancel interviews and would check with HR about rescheduling. When I reached out to HR for confirmation, they never got back to me. It was pretty frustrating to spend hours preparing, only to deal with such a disorganized company.
- Can you provide a review of the interview process?
Technical Account Manager
Recruiter reached out via email about the opportunity and set up a 30 min phone call. The call was good, gave a great overview and was a good conversation. The recruiter said they would follow up by end of week. No word. I followed up twice and no response. This is rude and unprofessional, especially if you’re the one to reach out. This experience doesn’t look good especially in an extremely competitive market that Hightouch sits. Talent is a major component of success, even more so for a start up. If you don’t value it, you won’t last. There would’ve been 3 stages: 1. Hiring manager (technical competency/situational), 2. Panel (technical / account management), 3. Final (values based)
- Are you comfortable with the job duties?
Content Marketing Head
I got a call from a recruiter for an initial screen. It seemed to go well, and she even told me I'd be moving on to the next round with the hiring manager. She said someone else in recruiting would reach out to schedule it. So I waited, but I didn't hear back. I followed up eight days later, still interested, and mentioned that her colleague hadn't contacted me. That was two and a half months ago, and I never heard back from Hightouch. It wasn't a great experience because of the lack of follow-through. A simple rejection email would have been fine, and maybe don't tell me I'm advancing if that's not the case.
- Can you tell me about your career path?
