Store Manager
It was a quick and easy process. If you've got the experience, you'll do fine. You should already know what they're looking for. They really want to see your sales experience and if you can handle cash. Make sure to show your personality.
- Can you tell me about your sales experience and if you've managed scheduling for others?
- What is your experience with sales, and have you been responsible for scheduling staff?
- Tell me about your sales background and if you have experience managing people schedules.
Store Manager
I put in my application on a Thursday and heard back from the recruiter on Saturday. We had a phone call and a video interview. They gave me the offer on Tuesday. It was pretty straightforward, the video interview seemed to be more about checking my personality and enthusiasm. The whole thing was handled by the recruiter, not the area supervisor.
- Tell me about some past sales competitions you've used to motivate your team.
Store Manager
I interviewed with 2 supervisors back in 1984. This site does not go back that far. Last time I physically worked for them was 1995. I was originally hired as seasonal kiosk manager and when the season was coming to an end the store managers position in the store (that's back when they still had stores in malls) left suddenly I was given the chance to interview for the job.
- What contributions can you make to this role if you are hired?
