Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hibu.
Field Sales Representative
They had multiple rounds, and they asked all the basic questions you would expect. The person who interviewed me was incredibly arrogant and acted like this job was super special when in reality, anyone who made it passed 10th grade could do it. The interviewer was obviously a bully, and I wouldn't recommend applying. I can tell this arrogance is probably common for the employees there so I would stay away.

Outside Sales Representative
I got to the third round. They already have five people in Washington. Just to be clear, all leads are outbound, meaning you have to generate your own business. They're good at coaching you on your weak spots and sharing more about their sales strategies. The initial hiring process is pretty much just to get you in the door. After that, it's really about your personality. I mentioned that the minimum salary in WA is $77k+, and the base salary of $51k seemed a bit off. It's not even enough to cover bills, and that apparently 'put them off' in the last round. Digital Marketing is a new area, and their product line is pretty basic, to be honest.

Sales Representative
Yellowbook reached out to me after I posted my resume online. I had an initial phone call that was pretty basic and covered my resume, and they set up an interview with a local office manager. The first interview was fine, they didn't ask super tough questions, mostly just wanted to dig into my background and past work experience. They did ask how I'd deal with different customer and employee/management scenarios. The second interview was with a regional manager. It also went well and was way more chill than I thought it would be. I feel like they were checking if I could sell myself and if I had what it takes to succeed.
