Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hibu.
Senior Copywriter
The interview process involved an initial phone call, followed by an in-person interview that included a writing test and a web test. It felt pretty standard for the industry. They also asked some questions about my skill level and the digital tools I'm familiar with.
- Do you have experience using Adobe?
- What's your daily writing capacity in terms of pages?
- Tell me about your skill level.
Web Content Writer
I saw an ad for an open interview day on Craigslist and applied online beforehand. Lots of people were there, so they were probably hiring for a lot of jobs. We had to take a 45-minute writing test and a 15-minute proofreading test. The writing test had us write a page for fake companies. Since I was there for a while without an interview, I asked HR if I could reschedule. He said he'd let me know after reviewing my tests. The next day, I got an email asking for my availability, and the day after that, I had an interview with an associate manager. They offered me the job right after the interview.

The interview process is pretty straightforward. When you get here, you'll take some initial tests, which include a call-in scenario and a writing test. They'll quickly put together the scores, and then you'll proceed to the actual in-person interview.
- Can you share an instance where you had to manage a situation involving a coworker who violated the rules?
