Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hibu.
Account Manager
This was an unprofessional interview experience. The interviewer seemed uninterested, as if she was just trying to get through as many interviews as possible. I asked for her email to send a thank you, but she never sent it. The rejection was a generic template, showing no effort towards candidates. She couldn't answer basic questions about the role and didn't follow up with answers. The whole process felt like a job mill.

Sales Account Manager
The team is great, and I interviewed with the regional manager, VP manager, and a recruiter. We had 3 interviews over Zoom, which is how they're doing training now because of COVID. The training is the best I've ever had, and they seem like a good team.

Account Manager
The interview process for this Account Manager role was quite extensive, involving two phone interviews followed by in-person interviews at their location. It felt like a thorough process, which initially made it seem like a good decision. However, once hired, the organization of the role itself is quite lacking. New hires are expected to develop a sales territory from scratch within three months, relying entirely on cold calls. It seems many businesses are hesitant to work with Hibu due to their high turnover of sales representatives, which creates inconsistency and makes customers uncomfortable. Customers are looking for a consistent point of contact and relationship building. Hibu operates more like a car dealership, focusing on quick sales and then transferring accounts to a phone sales team. This approach doesn't make businesses feel valued.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
