First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HGS.
Assistant Manager
The interview process had 5 rounds. The first was a telephonic round where they asked common questions like 'describe yourself', 'hobbies', 'why should they hire me', 'past experiences', and 'projects worked on'. They also asked follow-up questions on the projects. The second round was an aptitude test covering topics like work and time, boat and stream, distance, and directions, along with English questions (one word substitutions, meanings, fill in the blanks, choose correct option). The third round was operational, and the fourth was a face-to-face interview with technical questions. The fifth and final round was a managerial round.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What are your hobbies?
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this role?
Customer Relationship Manager
First up was HR for an intro, then a salary discussion for experienced folks. Next, a computer test that checked verbal and audio clarity, plus hearing ability. Another salary discussion, this time for freshers. Then, a rundown of company policies, followed by onboarding.
- Could you try selling me a pen to demonstrate your sales experience?
Management Trainee
First, there was a group discussion about Indian politics. Then, a personal interview with one person. If I did well, I'd be called to their office for another interview.
- What are your 5-year career goals?
