The interview process was pretty chill and conversational. We started with them telling me about the firm and what they do. Then they asked me stuff about my background, my school, and my portfolio. They wanted to know about my experience with software like Rhino, Revit, and Adobe Suite, and if I could work well with others. They also had me talk about a project I did before, what my design ideas were, what was tough, and how I figured it out. To wrap it up, we chatted about when I could start and what I was hoping to get out of the internship.

Confirmed questions3 questions

  • I explained my process for handling the project requirements, picking materials, and arranging spaces to make sure it was functional and looked good.
  • I shared my problem-solving abilities, talking about issues like site limitations and how I came up with clever design solutions.

They rescheduled our interview because they forgot to put it on their calendar. It was supposed to be a 2-hour interview with 5 people, but one person didn't show up. We started 20 minutes late. Things were going fine until they said I wasn't qualified and would need too many years of training. Funny, since I've been a PA for over 10 years.

It was an interesting experience. The HR person didn't show up, so someone else came instead of the manager. They asked me a lot about my current employer and the company structure. The projects were interesting and the office space was very nice. They are expanding rapidly. The board was in town, so the office was buzzing. It seems like there are good social aspects to the office.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • What kind of projects are you hoping to work on?
  • Tell me about your current employer.
  • Can you describe the structure of your company?
