First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HG Insights.
Analyst
The hiring process starts with an Online Assessment to check basic skills. After that, there's a Technical Interview to see if you know your stuff. Then, you'll do a Case Study Discussion. Finally, there's an HR Round to talk about everything and discuss an offer.
- Assess understanding of data analysis.
- Evaluate knowledge of Excel.
- Test basic SQL query knowledge.
Senior Software Engineer
The interview process had a technical screening, then a coding round for problem-solving. After that, there was a system design round, a technical panel interview for a deeper dive, and finally an HR chat before they decided on an offer.
- Tell me about your background in backend architecture.
- Can you elaborate on how you've optimized application performance?
- What's your experience been with handling large-scale systems?
Senior Customer Success Manager
My interview process had 4 rounds. First was an HR Round (US), then a Hiring Manager Round (US), followed by an India Head Round (India), and finally a Department Director Round (US). I cleared up to the 4th round. During the director round, they thought my experience was more suited for a strategic role and thus didn't give me an offer. They could have rejected me earlier. The whole thing took over 2 months. Questions were standard for the role and their expectations.
- Can you describe a time you worked with a CXO to achieve a turnaround?
- What methods and processes do you employ for customer QBRs and MBRs?
Sales Development Representative
The interview process lasted about 3 weeks. The recruiter was really good and communicative. Unfortunately, my second interviewer was a no-show, and after waiting more than 30 minutes, we had to reschedule. After that, I had a final interview with the hiring manager and the team, who were great. However, the final interviewer seemed uninterested, probably because it was the end of the day. It was disappointing because I was excited about the job until that final interview, even after the no-show incident. They then sent me a survey before even giving me feedback.
- Can you tell us why you are interested in HG?
- What motivates you to pursue a career in sales?
- Could you describe your previous sales experience?
