First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hexcel.
Lab Technician
First, there was a screening call with the recruiter. Then, I had a one-on-one video meeting with the hiring manager. The final round was an onsite panel interview with the HR manager, the hiring manager, and another Hexcel supervisor.
- Tell me about how you ensure safe equipment usage.
- Describe your methods for ensuring precision and accuracy in lab samples and experiments.
Controls Technician
I talked to a recruiter throughout the whole thing. He was really helpful. First call he told me I might not be happy with the job because I was over-qualified education-wise. I thanked him and decided not to move forward. A week later he called me back saying the hiring manager wanted to meet me and didn't think training would be an issue. We set up the interview for the next week. After the interview, the recruiter let me know the hiring manager did think training would be an issue.
- What are your long-term career aspirations in relation to this role?
Lab Technician
You'll chat with a manager, supervisor, and HR. They'll hit you with around 10-15 questions, mostly digging into your past work and how you've handled different scenarios. It generally takes about a month to get started after that. You'll also need to pass a full background check, a physical, and a drug test.
- What can you tell me about this company?
- What distinguishes you from the other applicants, and why are you the best choice for this position?
