Hexaware Technologies conducted a campus recruitment drive for the Graduate Engineer Trainee position. The whole process had 4 rounds and was conducted on campus. First was a Group Discussion (GD) with 10 students per group, discussing topics like "Online Shopping vs Offline Shopping." They mainly looked for confidence and clarity, not perfect English. After the GD, there was a Multi-Measure Assessment on Hexaware's platform, lasting about 2.5 hours. This had three parts: Quantitative and Logical Aptitude (needing a minimum score), Technical MCQs covering Java, Spring Boot, and MySQL (basic concepts were enough), and a Coding Round with 3 straightforward problems solvable with basic programming skills. They said the day's process was done after the test and shortlisted candidates would be emailed. The experience was well-organized and the interviewers were approachable.

The interview process started with an initial screening round, followed by a communication round, and then an HR interview. After selection, there was a waiting period, then extensive training in soft skills and technical areas. Multiple tests are part of the training, and you need to pass them within two attempts to avoid removal. However, it's generally manageable to pass within these attempts. The offer letter and joining details are only provided after completing the full training, which can take 4-8 months or sometimes less depending on business needs. In my case, it took over 8 months without any salary or stipend. This role involves training before hiring. The offer is not confirmed until the training is successfully completed.

The interview process starts with an Online Test, which has two parts: a written test and a technical test. The written part includes questions on Quants, English Verbal, and Reasoning, with 30 questions in 30 minutes, so you need to be quick. The technical test covers CS/IT and EC/EEE subjects, also taking 30 minutes. The total time for the Online Test is 1 hour. If you pass the online test, you move to a Group Discussion. The topics are usually about current events and market trends, like 'The poverty in India' or 'Gender Justice'. Those who do well in the GD go to the Technical Interview Round. Here, they'll ask you technical questions, mainly on programming languages like C, C++, DBMS, and Data Structures, focusing on what's on your resume. They might also ask about projects you've done. Passing this means you're almost selected, but there's one last step: the HR Interview. This is the easiest round, where they ask about your personal life, family, and hobbies.
