First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hertz.
Sales Representative
The GM of this branch was really laid back, making it a super comfortable interview. They took their time, explained the job, and asked me straightforward questions about my past work. They also asked where I see myself in 3-5 years, and then let me ask questions.
- What's your work availability?
- Can you tell me about your experience in a similar industry?
- What are your career aspirations for the next 3-5 years?
Sales Representative
I was on time but the interviewer wasn't ready. After I waited, he explained the position. He didn't ask me anything, so I started selling myself and mentioning my experience. He just nodded and smiled. The office was dark and messy, and the staff were unwelcoming. It felt like a dark dungeon. Even if they offered me the job, I wouldn't take it.
- None just sat there. That’s why I was like OK and I started to sell myself to tell him more about me.
- Why would you reach out for me to come to an interview and you don’t interview me it wasn’t like I didn’t look professional because I am a professional, I dressed and acted like like a professional! HMMMMM
Sales Representative
I got referred by someone already working there on 7/6. The recruiter reached out on the 7th. My only interview was with the GM and store manager together. They asked typical interview questions and had me pick an item in the room to sell to them. I talked about a Mustang since the GM liked them. I got the offer on 7/24 via email and completed the background check and drug test that same day. They wanted me to start on 8/6, so the whole process took about a month.
- Pick something in the room and try to sell it to me.
