First contact was with an external HR group, checking credentials like BS, MBA, etc. Then, two rounds of interviews at HQ followed by salary negotiation and some additional testing. After that, I flew in for training and paperwork before starting on my first day.

I applied to Hertz and a recruiter got back to me the same day. She set up an interview and called the morning of to see if I had questions. The interview with the manager was great, he made me feel comfortable and answered my questions. I didn't get the job, but the recruiter followed up and told me about other roles in the area. I appreciate that, because most places ghost you. Given my experience with the team and good feedback from a friend who works there, I'm still interested in working at Hertz.

The interview was pretty easy. I first had a phone interview with the recruiter, and then within the same week, I interviewed with the two directors and then the GM. The longest part of the process was waiting for the background check, which took about two weeks.
