Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Herspiegel Consulting.
Consultant
The interview process was quite drawn out. It started with an initial HR contact via a 30-minute video conference that seemed to go well. About a week later, I had a meeting with a manager, and that also felt positive. Two weeks after that, I was given a case study to complete. Unfortunately, that didn't go as well as I'd hoped, and a week later I was informed that my case study wasn't as strong as other applicants', so I wouldn't be moving forward.
- Could you describe how you would manage the launch of a new product for a hypothetical company in the medical device industry?
Consultant
The case interview was a pretty standard market analysis type. The interviewers seemed nice. They didn't give much feedback during or after. There were some basic behavioral questions asked, but nothing too unusual.
- What are your strengths?
Consultant
I had final round interviews with the President and 2 other leadership members. These were mostly experience/fit interviews to understand my background and motivations for applying. There was also a PPT and XLS test to gauge my skill level. The XLS test involved some simple QC of data and some basic analysis (most intensive was maybe XLOOKUP). PPT test involved recreating a PPT from scratch.
