The corporate interview process consists of two main parts: first, a Calipher personality test, which the executives trust highly for its reliability. Second, a one-on-one interview. Looking back, I'd advise candidates to take initiative upon entering, employ every element of a sales call, and finish with a closing statement to market themselves. This demonstration of your sales mindset and skills isn't explicitly mentioned or scored but seems to be the ultimate deciding factor. Keep your answers very brief. This is not a casual, get-to-know-you type of interview. Good luck with your job search!

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • The interview expects you to aggressively sell yourself using all elements of a typical sales call, rather than asking you questions as in a traditional interview setting.
  • Be very concise in your responses.
  • Showcase your sales mentality and technique.

Behavioral Technical

I reached out to Herff Jones for a job in their Sports - Ring Division. About a week later, they got in touch and asked if I wanted to interview. I got to pick my own day and time, which was nice. When I got there, a security guard asked why I was there and sent me to a window where I had to fill out a bunch of forms for about 20 minutes. Then, I went back to the window and was told to wait for the interviewer. She came out after about 10 minutes and took me to a meeting room. I had researched the division and company beforehand, and it helped. She asked me about my unusual resume and if I could handle a full-time job with set hours, since I'm used to a more flexible schedule. She was nice, professional, and seemed open to some flexibility. It seems like Herff Jones is changing with the times and new technology, unlike what I'd read elsewhere. I asked her about some of those things I read.

The entire process took 90 days. It felt like the company was losing interest because it was so long, but they were thorough. I applied through Monster and got a phone call interview. Then, there was a more formal face-to-face interview where I had to give specific references. My references were interviewed. I underwent a full background check. I also completed an online personality test. After that, there was another formal face-to-face interview. Finally, I was flown to headquarters for a day of interviews and a drug test. Even though it was a long process, I think it was worth it.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • There were unexpected random IQ-related questions during the online personality test.
