Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Herc Rentals.
Sales Associate
It was a pretty straightforward interview. The interviewer was friendly. They asked a lot about my personal goals and ambitions. We then toured the warehouse where they explained the job in detail. There was also a quick quiz on typing an email.
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Sales Associate
The interview process was pretty straightforward. It started with a recruiter call, followed by a Zoom interview. They asked pretty standard questions. Throughout the interview, I talked about my interests, my current role, and what I'd like to do next. At the end, they basically told me what they were looking for, which wasn't something I wanted to do right away. There also seemed to be a bit of confusion about hours, pay, and scheduling. It felt like there were some differences in what the recruiter said versus what the interviewers discussed regarding my interests and pay.
- What value do you add, and why should we choose you?
Sales Associate
I talked to a bunch of people and they were all really nice. I felt like I could be myself, which made me feel comfortable. They even shared some of their own life stories, making it feel like a safe space to interview. They were happy to answer everything I asked, and it made me want to join their team.
