The interview process was really quick and straightforward. First, I had a phone screen with my direct supervisor, and then the following week, there was a panel interview with directors and other staff members. They were clear about what happens next and the hiring steps.

The interview process was quick and simple. The recruiter and program management were fast with communication and were happy to answer any questions. 2 phone screens with recruiter and then hiring manager, before being invited for an in-person interview. I was offered the job, but turned it down due to a lowball salary offer. During the interview process both the recruiter and hiring manager shared the salary range and both separately stated that I would fall within the mid to high range of the scale. Once the offer came, they offered me the literal lowest number on the scale--citing that though I had over 5 years of direct experience, I did not have the most experience within the pool of available applicants they had interviewed. When I pushed back that I was not entry-level and should at least be higher than the absolute bottom of the range, the recruiter told me that there was no room for negotiation. The hiring manager stated that they also would not be willing to negotiate. It left a sour taste in my mouth and I decided to walk away. I am glad I did because I accepted a salaried position a few weeks later at another hospital that offered me 10K more, front loaded me PTO, was salaried, and had a lighter workload!

I applied for a job in Jackson Allegiance and heard back within a week. The next week, I had my first interview with three other executive assistants. They had all been working there for different lengths of time and had a prepared list of questions. They were friendly, and I felt the interview went well. They told me the next step was a direct interview with the person I'd be working for, if I got past this first stage. It's been three months, and I haven't heard anything since, not even to let me know I didn't move forward.
