Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Henkel.
Supply Planner
The interview process started with two phone screenings with HR, each lasting about 10-15 minutes, which were pretty standard. After that, there was a longer interview with the Line Manager and HR, lasting 45 minutes to an hour. This started with typical HR questions and behavioral questions, then moved into an interesting discussion with the line manager. The process was slow initially, taking almost a month between the first and second HR calls. However, after the second phone screening, things sped up, with the interview and offer coming through in about 10 days.
- Tell me about the biggest challenge you've encountered in your current job.
Demand Planner
It was a pretty straightforward interview process. They started with scenario-based questions to see how I'd handle real-world situations. The first interview was mostly about getting to know me – my past work, skills, and how I tackle problems. The second interview was similar, with people from different departments, but it felt a bit odd because some questions were a little personal and not really about my experience or abilities.
- Can you describe your competencies and how you handle scenarios?
- What's the reason behind your job changes over the last six years?
Supply Chain Intern
There was a phone interview with HR where they asked for some context about your personal background and one question in English to check your level. Then, there was a video call interview with the manager. A practical case study was to be done during the video call, and it could be finished after the call and sent.
- Can you explain your background?
- What makes you a good fit for this company?
- Why are you interested in this position?
