Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Henkel.
Solution Manager
The head of Supply Chain Intelligence was a terrible interviewer. He was late, leaned back, and interrupted sometimes. His main goal seemed to be to prove my CV was fake, instead of asking real questions, perhaps because he lacked understanding of business and technology. He also complained about difficulty building trust with other departments, which frankly, is unappealing. I have no further comments, good luck to future interviewees.
- Could you tell me about a project listed on your CV?
PMO Manager
The interview process had 3 rounds: first an HR call, then a meeting with the team members and the hiring manager, and finally a meeting with the director of the department. They focused on my past experience in managing projects overall and the senior management team steering I have done. I was rejected in the end. My guess is they had a more senior candidate who they felt would be better for stakeholder management because of the many management team interactions needed.
- Can you share an instance from your project management experience where you successfully resolved a conflict?
Management Trainee
The whole process felt easy and comfortable. It involved normal questions about your past experience and introducing yourself. There were some tasks in the first stage, and then I moved to the second stage, which was a case study involving questioning and teamwork.
- Can you introduce yourself and tell me about your experience?
